Trips and Visits
At Park Road the timetable is regularly suspended for the students attending to go on a wide range of trips and visits.
These have included over the past year Thorpe park, the Houses of Parliament, Bristol zoo, Stourhead, the Fleet Air Arm museum and other places of interest.
These trips are used both as a social experience for the students where they can experience spending time in public places with other students and members of the Park Road staff where they can use shops and cafés and interact with members of the public.
The visits are also used to fulfil elements of other learning undertaken at Park Road such as ASDAN (where students planning trips and following through a task may be involved) and history/geography (where visits to castles and places of geographic interest are valuable as both an enjoyable place to visit and a educational resource).
Where students have a particular interest or hobby we will endeavour to fit trips and visits that are enjoyed by the individual students concerned.
