Young people at Park Road are able to access the Forest School throughout the year.
Forest School covers a wide range of activities from fire building, construction of temporary shelters, preparing and cooking wild foods, sessions of identifying and the use of a wide range of indigenous plants, making simple tools from wood.
There is also the opportunity during forest school sessions to do some photography and art in a natural setting. Time at Forest School can involve teamwork and individual challenges and of course not forgetting toasting marshmallows on open fires which no good Forest School is without.
"I love working outdoors. Toasting Marshmallows was fun; we also made pancakes"
